Academic Esports: Marvel Rivals
A competitive, team-based program where students sharpen their Marvel Rivals gameplay skills while building transferable skills. Includes Professional Development for educators that offers custom dashboards to track school and district-level analytics.
Camp or Club Implementation
This course can be run as either a camp or a club. Both camps and clubs are facilitated by Mastery Coding certified instructors.
Clubs:
- Delivered across multiple weeks
- Can be run after school, during breaks, or on holidays
- Includes additional activities outside of live sessions
Camps:
- Delivered over the course of a week (3 days)
- 3-hour sessions
- No additional activities outside of live sessions
Curriculum or Lesson Topics:
- Master hero roles: Duelists, Vanguards, Strategists
- Build effective communication and teamwork habits
- Learn map strategy, ultimate economy, and scrim tactics
- Strengthen resiliency, tenacity and a growth mindset mentality
- Develop skills in teamwork, strategy, and critical thinking
- Understand data analysis through statistical analysis
Technical Requirements:
- Computers capable of running Marvel Rivals for every player
- Each computer with access to Marvel Rivals game software
- Headset, keyboard, and mouse peripherals
