Highlights:
The Early Inventors STEM Lab and supporting curriculum help Pre-K–1st grade learners read, build, and invent while developing the foundational STEM and literacy skills they will carry for life. Designed for all learners, the program provides meaningful entry points for every child to explore, create, and succeed.
Each Early Inventors Lab serves up to 2 students and provides everything needed to launch hands-on early STEM learning.
Curriculum or Lesson Topics:
Educators receive access to a comprehensive library of 60+ ready-to-teach lessons that integrate hands-on STEM with early literacy development.
Lesson Types Supported by the Lab:
• STEM Foundations Lessons: Build the core knowledge and skills that serve as a base for all future STEM learning. Students develop early fluencies, explore fundamental engineering and math concepts, and begin applying problem-solving strategies in hands-on ways.
• Storytime Inventing Lessons: Pair children’s books with hands-on builds that strengthen comprehension and vocabulary while encouraging students to test ideas, explore concepts, and invent solutions.
The Power of STEM + Literacy
When literacy and STEM are integrated, young learners strengthen academic skills while also building confidence as problem-solvers. The Early Inventors STEM Lab promotes growth in both areas by helping children:
• Build vocabulary and comprehension
• Strengthen problem-solving and design thinking
• Develop spatial awareness and fine motor skills
• Practice perseverance and collaboration
• Foster early STEM identity and confidence
