Curriculum or Lesson Topics:

With easy-to-follow instructions, kids can build their very own solar oven from scratch, learning about solar energy, heat transfer, and sustainable living along the way. Watch as they harness the power of the sun to bake clay sculptures of their own creation or even roast marshmallows for S'mores, all while gaining a deeper understanding of environmental science and engineering principles.

What’s Included:

Every kit includes all necessary materials, tools, and printed instructions. Many also include digital lesson plans, student worksheets, and teacher guides with STEM connections and extension ideas.

Model and Bake Clay– Includes modeling clay for firing in the oven! Create sculptures or mini pottery and bake using solar energy. 

Includes Temperature & Humidity Sensor– Your solar oven kit comes with gauges for internal temperature and humidity, so you can see what temperature you're able to get in your oven!  

Lens Science– Includes a powerful Fresnel lens - a refractive sheet specially designed to focus sunlight and heat the internal chamber, plus a mirror to reflect the sun rays into the oven.
