Kemtec Science: Simple Pendulum

Target Grades: 9-14

Number of students: 36 working in groups of 4 to 6

Students use simple pendulums to accurately determine the passage of time. Real data is recorded as students determine the effects of independent variables on periodicity while also learning about kinetic and potential energy. Includes instructor manual, reproducible stepwise instructions for students, guided calculations, assessment questions, sample data, complete answer keys, and all materials for activities. Appropriate for any level physics course (including AP) as well as general science courses.
