Highlights:

Beam Break is a fun, hands-on way to start exploring concepts of acceleration, velocity, and movement using Hot Wheels Cars. The Rover is an add-on and REQUIRES a Piper Make Starter Kit with the Raspberry Pi Pico to get started (sold separately). 

Curriculum or Lesson Plans:

Using infrared sensors to detect when your Hot Wheels Car “breaks the beam” while racing down a Hot Wheels track, users will learn the basics of using sensors in the physical world and doing calculations in code – all while racing to the finish! This kit includes two lessons free and accessible on make.playpiper.com, look for the Beam Break and Car Race missions.
