Students use their own saliva, from which secretors (80% of students) will be able to determine their ABO blood type. This kit provides real antisera for demonstrating true ABO blood typing agglutination reactions. Ideal for students in advanced biology, physiology, or biochemistry. Includes an enhanced instructor manual with background information, reproducible student worksheets, and complete answer keys. Antisera and Blood Cells are perishable. Refrigeration prolongs shelf life. Reply card included for blood cells and lectin; materials must ship 2nd day air on ice in summer months. Reply card items are only shipped within the continental United States. Cells should be used within 20 days. Requires a centrifuge or prolonged settling. Meets national standards for grades 9-12. Also appropriate for college level.
