Kemtec Science: Chemical Equations II

• Target Grades: 8-12
• Number of Students: 24 students working in six groups of four.

Introduce students to chemical equations as they perform and observe decomposition and synthesis reactions. Changes in chemical and physical properties are observed and the concept that some reactions require heat to proceed is introduced. The kit includes all required chemicals, reproducible procedures, a vocabulary exercise, and reproducible worksheets emphasizing balancing equations, valence, writing chemical formulas, and identifying reactants and products.
