Maxwell Wheel
A wheel with a center shaft is suspended at 2 ends by a chord and that can be wound manually to the top, is released. The unwinding of the chord, as the wheel transcends downwards potential energy) changes to kinetic energy on reaching the end. It reverses itself and as it winds back up again changing back to potential energy. Continuous process, however energy loss is due to friction that ultimately slows down the wheel and stops.
