High schools that start esports teams will find that they quickly become a popular and valuable asset to the school community. But it's more than that. Curriculum or Lesson Topics:
Emotional Intelligence
- Emotional intelligence is the ability to be aware and understand emotions, both in yourself and in others. Emotional intelligence can help players to stay calm under pressure, make strategic decisions, and perform at their best when it matters most.
Self Confidence
- Self-confidence is the belief in oneself and one's abilities. It's an essential quality for success in competition, whether it's in esports, academics, or the business world. Those who are self-confident have a sense of security and faith in their own abilities. It's what gives you the courage to stand up for yourself and pursue your dreams.
Teamwork
- When it comes to esports, teamwork is everything. In order to be successful, players need to be able to work together seamlessly in order to achieve their common goal. This is why it's important to us to nurture players who are not only skilled in their own game, but also have good communication skills and a willingness to work together.
Leadership
- Esports require a great deal of coordination and teamwork in order to be successful. This is where leadership comes in. A good leader is someone who can motivate and guide their team to victory. Esports leaders need to be strategic, decisive, and calm under pressure.
Resilience
- Resilience is the ability to withstand or recover from difficult situations. Being resilient doesn't mean that you never make mistakes or that you never feel pain. It simply means that you have the strength to keep going even when things are tough. Esports, like traditional sports, is an excellent way to teach resilience to students.
Hard Work
- Esports requires a great deal of hard work and dedication. Teams need to develop individual skills, as well as team skills. They also need to be able to think strategically and adapt quickly to changing game environments. Providing students with the opportunity to experience, and see the value in hard work is a great benefit to having an esports team.
