PerennialMath | Math Competition & Contest For Grades 3-8
Perennial Math has three types of competition for students in grades 3-12:
1-An Online competition (grades 3-8) with two separate seasons to choose from;
2-Live On-Site tournaments hosted at colleges or schools (grades 3-8);
3-WebEx Virtual tournaments for districts and classrooms (grades 3-12). These are also used for our National Championships.
Our Online competition is international. Math students are COOL and are recognized with our monthly Wall of Fame, cool dog tags for champions, and certificates for all competitors. Math coaches are better prepared because they receive Power Points based on specific types of questions that provide students good solid practice.
Perennial Math was created by Dr. Sylvia Dean, a gifted specialist and administrator for 26 years in Huntsville, Alabama - the Rocket City (proud home of NASA, Space Camp, Redstone Arsenal, and many Space, Defense, and Technological Companies). Dr. Dean has received many awards for her involvement and coordination of math, robotics, and technology competitions which include the Presidential Volunteer Service award; IEEE Pre-University Educator; Technology Teacher of the Year; and the Air Force Association State Teacher of the Year.
Dr. Dean created Perennial Math to offer students more venues to showcase their talents and to help teachers develop math skills in their classroom. Dr. Dean sincerely loves Perennial Math- it's not just a job- it's her passion! We hope you will join us in our pledge to make math more exciting and create better problem-solving skills!
