Lab-Aids:‚ Basic Blood Typing Kit
These foundation activities introduce students to the study of blood. Students first draw samples of their own blood to:
- Determine their own blood group‚
- Observe tissue incompatibility‚
Then, they type themselves using the agglutination method which enables them to better understand the four basic blood groups. Besides their personal involvement in the experiment, students receive valuable experience in collecting and comparing data. Individual color coded sterile components help to simplify the procedure and guarantee results. The LAB-AIDS‚® Slide Guide‚® eliminates the need for glass slides and can be placed in the student's notebook as a visual record of the lab activity.
