The reaction in the charge cartridge of mossy zinc and a dilute solution of hydrochloric acid causes hydrogen to be produced using this Make-A-Gas® Generator. After collecting the gas, students perform several activities to study both the physical and chemical characteristics of hydrogen. Students can synthesize gas without retorts, test tubes, thistle tubes or concentrated acids.
